On the 21stand 22ndof November, over 6000 small and medium enterprise (SME) leaders graced the halls of the Palais des Congrès de Montréal for the 7thannual edition of Strategies PME.
The largest of its kind in Quebec, this event is aimed at helping professionals deepen their knowledge of business growth and development, sharpen their management skillsets, network with specialists and stay in step with the latest innovative ideas in business.
The event showcased a rich agenda filled with fascinating conferences, captivating discussions around current themes as well as enriching courses offered up by recognized experts. For attendees, the event provided an ideal opportunity to truly feel the pulse of Quebec business trends.
Innodirect’s Relevance Reinforced
In addition to the countless kiosks manned with experts from various fields, the event also hosted 130 conferences lead by SME managers. These conferences covered a range of topics, all aimed at the growth and development of SME’s. One such topic was covered by Innodirect CEO and founder, Philippe Meloni, who had the opportunity to present his thoughts on leaving room for critique in SME’s, a pertinent presentation that was well-received by attendees.
Throughout the two days, Innodirect met with many professionals from businesses at varying levels of growth. These dynamic individuals all had issues in common: reaching out to their customer base, building their network, creating a smooth, functional line of communication between different sectors of their business and discovering innovative solutions to overcome central issues.
To demonstrate our relevance and pinpoint where we could assist them, we created a message board where participants wrote down the ways in which we could help them with their specific issues. The message board served two purposes: it helped businesses identify the specific issues they had difficulty overcoming while also doubling as a competition board, where the winner was randomly chosen at the end of the day and presented with a very good bottle of wine.

It was satisfying to watch our message board grow over with issues we could help overcome. On that note, we’d like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the winner of our competition, Mr. Christian Groulx, CEO of KYO habitation, an architectural and construction company that works to create and construct beautiful, sound, eco-friendly homes and chalets from conception to completion.
